Problogger Credibility in Blogging.

Darren Rowse the Problogger answers a reader question concerning making yourself a credible source in your chosen blog niche.

“My question is how to make yourself a credible source. For example, when I came across your site, I got the impression that you had no experience with blogging, but found your niche in “making money from blogging.” But since you had never actually done it, I’m curious as to how you made yourself the source that you are now. You have very good tips and information, but obviously didnt have them to begin with.”

Darren has decided to make a series of articles out of this question. Here are some topics he covers

I say: You create your own credibility. Whether your new to blogging or new to a job you always wanted. What you do and how you do it make you the credible person. You are what you make yourself.

Update:Bloglines is back up.

Enough said.  Outage over Bloglines has returned.  Resume your reading.

YPN publishes its own blog

The Yahoo Publishing Network which is the equivalent of the Google Adsense program has started its own their blog.  The goal of which is too..

We know that for the Yahoo! Publisher Network to be successful, publishers need to be successful, too. So we started the Yahoo! Publisher Network blog to:

  • Give publishers – you folks – a voice in the evolution of the Yahoo! Publisher Network and its products.
  • Build a place where you can come and learn about the latest updates and enhancements to the Network
  • Showcase your work and your contributions to making Yahoo! Publisher Network what is today – and to what it will become tomorrow
  • Provide a community space where you can learn from other publishers how to be a better one yourself

In a way its a me too type of situation.  Google has a Blog the covers alot of the same topics.  Just in this case its how to optimize for Yahoo.

I say good for Yahoo.  These new ad networks are going a long way toward helping bloggers monetize their sites.  Any new resources that can contribute to the success of blogging is fine by me.  Optimization, Monetization and Trafficaztion  are the name of the game!
