By the end of this year, the mock-up of the unique balancing system will be completed, and at the beginning of next year the holding will start creating the first model with a payload capacity of 16 tons and a volume of 30,000 cubic meters. Flight tests should begin in the second half of 2018.
Atlant is an aircraft that combines the advantages of several types of ships – an airship, an air-cushion ship, an airplane and a helicopter. It is planned to develop modifications designed to transport 15, 50 and 175 tons of cargo for a range of up to 5500 km. Unique flying qualities of Atlanta will allow to reduce expenses for t / km from 7 to 25 rubles.
The main direction of the work of Atlanta will be the delivery of military cargo. And in the passenger version, there will be opportunities to create special comfort and safety of flights. In addition, it will be, perhaps, the most environmentally friendly type of air transport.
