The 87-storey Lakhta Center, somewhat reminiscent of an elegant glass bullet, rushed upwards by 462 meters against the background of the historical part of St. Petersburg. Such impressive characteristics make it the tallest building in Europe and the 13th in the world.

The erection of a skyscraper is without a doubt one of the most ambitious international projects in the construction of which more than 20,000 people from 18 countries of the world took part. Here, the most advanced construction technologies and modern materials were used. So, the foundation was poured in a continuous way for 49 hours. The total area of ​​glass structures was 72.5 thousand square meters. meters, consisting of 16,505 fragments.

Lahta Center has the shape of a spire with five wings. At an altitude of 357 meters, there is an observation deck and a restaurant with panoramic views. Most of the premises will be occupied by Gazprom employees.

Lakhta Center has already received a certificate of LEED Gold (voluntary system of certification of buildings “green standard”). The building has energy-saving features. Its glazing has integrated mechanical ventilation systems, which significantly reduces the need for air conditioners, and rainwater will find its application in irrigation.

There are 34 elevators in the building that will generate energy when moving down. LED lighting in turn will be automatically adjusted depending on the natural level of illumination.
